This Privacy Policy explains how NoFaff (“the App”, “NoFaff”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the App and related services.

NoFaff helps you turn messages and documents (for example, school communications, appointments, and other time-sensitive information) into reminders, actions, and calendar events.
You can add content to NoFaff by:
- forwarding/importing emails,
- importing documents (PDFs/images/screenshots),
- sharing content to NoFaff via iOS Share, or
- manually entering information.
No tracking: NoFaff is not an advertising app. We do not sell your data and we do not “track” you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising purposes. No sellingNo ads tracking
2) Information we collect
A. Account information
- Sign in with Apple identifier and authentication tokens.
- Basic account metadata needed to provide sync/restore (e.g., internal user ID).
B. Content you provide
Depending on how you use NoFaff, you may provide:
- Email content you forward/import (subject/body and related metadata).
- Documents/images you import or share.
- Notes you type into the App.
C. Derived / structured data created by NoFaff
From your content, NoFaff may generate and store:
- actions/tasks (what to do),
- dates/deadlines,
- calendar events,
- summaries and extracted key details.
D. Subscription information
Purchases and payments are processed by Apple. We may receive subscription status (e.g., active/expired) and receipt-related identifiers required to validate access, but we do not receive your full payment card details.
E. Device & diagnostics data
We may process limited technical data needed to operate the service (e.g., app version, basic error logs, and crash/diagnostic information). We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal data; however, the content you choose to import may contain sensitive information.

3) How we use information
We use your information to:
- Provide core app functionality (inbox, actions, calendar, reminders).
- Parse and summarise imported content and extract deadlines.
- Sync and restore your structured items across installations/devices (where enabled).
- Validate subscription access.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
4) AI & automated processing disclosure
To provide extraction and summarisation features, NoFaff may process the content you provide using automated systems, including AI models. This processing is used to generate structured outputs (actions/events/summaries) for your account.
We use automated processing to help you organise your information. You remain in control: you can edit or delete extracted items and you can delete local and cloud data using the in-app controls.
5) Where your data is stored
NoFaff uses cloud infrastructure to store your structured items and enable sync/restore. Imported raw/original content may also be stored temporarily to support parsing and review.
6) Data retention
NoFaff separates structured data from raw/original content:
A. Structured data (kept until you delete it)
- Actions, calendar events, summaries, extracted key details, and related metadata do not expire automatically.
- This ensures tasks/events scheduled far in the future do not disappear.
B. Raw/original content (automatically scrubbed)
- Raw/original content (for example: email body content, document text, attachments) is retained for up to 90 days to support processing and review.
- After that period, NoFaff scrubs/redacts raw/original content from our systems. The record that an item existed may remain (including structured outputs), but the raw/original content is removed.
C. Local device storage
- Imported files may be stored on your device. NoFaff applies iOS file protection to stored files.
- Local cached originals may be removed after the retention period or when you delete local data.
7) Deletion
A. Delete local data
You can delete data stored on your device (including imported files). If you keep cloud sync enabled, your structured items may reappear after the next sync/restore.
B. Delete account and all data
You can delete your account in-app. This deletes your account record and your cloud-stored data associated with your account, and also clears local data on the device.

8) Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information with service providers who help us operate the App (processors), for example:
- Cloud hosting/database providers (for sync/restore and storage),
- Email ingestion/delivery providers (for processing emails you forward/import),
- AI processing providers (to extract tasks/dates/summaries),
- Apple (for subscription purchases and subscription status).
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
No advertising tracking: we do not share your data with data brokers or advertising networks.
9) International transfers
Your data may be processed and stored in countries outside the UK, including the United States and other regions where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers (for example, contractual protections).
10) Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and iOS data protection for stored files on supported devices. No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and reduce risk.
11) Children
NoFaff is intended for adults/parents/guardians. If you believe a child has provided personal data directly to us without appropriate consent, contact us at support@nofaff.app.
12) Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data.
- Access: request a copy of your data.
- Correction: ask us to fix inaccurate data.
- Deletion: delete your account and cloud data in-app.
- Portability: request your data in a usable format (where applicable).
- Objection/Restriction: object to or restrict certain processing (where applicable).

13) Legal bases
If you are in the UK/EEA, our processing is based on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the App and its features you request.
- Legitimate interests: to keep the App secure, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
- Consent: where we ask for it (for example, certain device permissions).
- Legal obligations: where we must comply with law.
